Hi,

Thanks for the post. I am not sure why I didn't see it until today :)

You can also see a port of this by Dan Horrigan on GitHub:
http://github.com/dhorrigan/codeigniter-events

Pretty useful as it uses static methods instead and a lot cleaner.

Very nice post. I'm loving using CodeIgniter mixed with Modular Extensions so far. I've been working on my own simple CMS as well. Thanks for the article!

Interesting post, im working on CMS too. I still search a method how to build a CMS with a installable module, and your post answer my question. Can't wait the next post about this.

Thanks...

hi goliatone,

absolutely, i will be doing an update at some stage. haven't really worked on the plugin architecture much lately but i have already seen some good ways to improve it from looking around the web.

i will likely put the next blog post on threadler.com though.. we will see.

thanks - if you have any suggestions i am all ears!

Hi there,
I've read on a different post that you were busy, so i was wondering- just like your other reader Ruben Müller- if you are going to push this a bit more since what you did so far was a really interesting read.

regards,
goliatone

Hi Leeane!

That looks great! Did you develop your system further? I would be really interested in seeing more stuff from you on this topic.

Bye,
Rubn

Thanks.. i have come up with exactly the same structure for a CMS i'm building thou i use a controller called install.php that contains methods for install / uninstall and containing module info.. makes it easier to use core CI methods if needed during install/unstall.
